When this trio of accomplished professionals, with a wide range of experience, teamed-up, they had to decide on what to offer of unique value to their hospitality marketing clients. Karen Porter, senior marketing executive, Hank Olguin, veteran copywriter and John Valenti, seasoned photographer decided to focus on helping clients optimize their words and pictures in their online marketing and hotel website strategic planning and development efforts. A senior marketing professional with an impressive breadth of knowledge and experience best describes Karen Porter. For more than 20 years, she has held positions as marketing director, educator, consultant, workshop leader, online entrepreneur and focus group moderator for a wide variety of local, regional and national clients. Not only can she point to a proven record of traditional offline marketing achievements, in the last ten years, she has expanded her expertise and achieved success in the areas of online and e-marketing.

A small sample of those many achievements include:
  • As Marketing Director for the Texas Lottery, helped increase sales by 80% and make it the 5th largest lottery in the world.
  • While leading a national online marketing effort for 1,400 child care centers and private schools in 28 states, she increased website traffic by 600%.
  • As an entrepreneur, built a successful business with a customer base generated largely online, achieving and maintaining #1 or #2 Google positions for all targeted keywords for the last three years.
Karen's focus has increasingly shifted to online marketing and new technologies, but her grounding in traditional marketing methods gives her a valuable, integrated perspective which she applies in helping clients optimize their online business potential.

Hank Olguin
Copywriter

Hank has has spent more than thirty years working as a copywriter, creative director and creativity consultant. He has written everything from TV commercials, print ads and jingles to brochures, websites, press releases and radio spots. He has even written a book on creativity.

During this time, he has put his talents to work for major clients such as Coors, Sea World, Coca Cola and many others. Along the way, he picked up more than 60 awards for creative excellence, including two Clios and a national Addy.

Hank understands that well-chosen words motivate people to buy products and services when combined with compelling emotional appeals. Hospitality marketing and promotion present no exception to the rule. He also knows the importance of creative ideas, strategic thinking as well as the use of precise words in the selling process. In addition to his copywriting work, Hank conducts creativity seminars to help organizations ramp-up their innovative thinking skills.

Photographer

John captures the moment, the essence of the subject and makes you feel as if you are there, invites you to experience what you are seeing on a deeper level, especially through his 360-degree virtual tours.

For more than 25 years, he has combined his artistic instincts for creative lighting and balanced composition with his technical knowledge to produce crisp, natural results that meet the exact commercial needs of his clients.
